The Soulmate

After a quest for food,
to my nest I return...

"12:30!!...
You are late tonight sweetheart, my wait was long.
Come on, slide into the blanket,
we'll dream...rest you forget"

As I close my lashes
and try to captive sleep within,
the jealous soul mate kisses on my eyes
and wakes me up again.

"Let not just the Day see you,
I long to be with you more;
open your eyes for me dear,
the sun any time shall encroach".

"See with your open eyes
the road ahead and one behind,
you will find me fight for you
with the Day robbing your peace of mind".

"I give you my dark blood,
soak it with your thoughts
as you dream more to frame your future."

"I am your only mate...till death,
Your Soul Mate,
I am your Night."

Being Introspective

The greatest success is,
you learn to remain silent
when you want to shout aloud and say.

The apparent calmness may create tempest within.

Once the weathered feelings settle feathers,
you realize that storms come and go;
all that remains is a learning - The survival of the fittest.

Then you fit yourself within your own self.

As I Define It

Optimism: Glass is half full
Pessimism: Glass is half empty
Spiritualism: Glass is half filled with water and half with air... Eternally satisfied
Strategic Opportunism: Keep on fighting... I shall drink the water and you will be left with a glass full of air.

Remembering an Old Friend

How easily I got busy
to forget small things that were dear to me
when the mind & heart were innocent!!!

I slipped my hands off
from those who held us together as a ring of roses...
those days we sang ringa ringa roses.

I became indifferent to the sound of rain
dripping from the window pane,
which used to turn me euphoric at nights.

I stopped gazing at the clouds
which gave me my creativity
of forming everything from nothing.

I became deaf to the hawker who sold cotton candy,
I used to appease my taste buds free of cost...
later in the day, getting sweet scolding from dad for buying them on credit.

I no more walk down the street in a cold new year's dawn,
face covered with mother's hand woven muffler,
to drop a hand-painted greeting card at a friend's door.

I no more wait for anybody to drop one at my door either...

I see now, an old friend
still waiting at my door,
giving a hope that "There is time, Come Back"...

It seems my friend waited quite long,
with rusted hands wide open
gone too weak and now hanging at the mercy of wind...

A Perpetual Life

It never started, it never ended...
It shall never start, it shall never end...

It is a big circle within even bigger circles of parallel time-zones
I stand at one point on each circumference...

Happenings just meet me and pass by
again and again on one,
But they seem so new to the other I on the other circles.

The Kid in ME..Plays Still...

As I do it for ME
Triumphing over all odds,
Making the way clear,
I am the Warrior Lady..

I gallop miles
With the sword of determination and the shield of wisdom,
I conquer the moments and
Treasure them to memories for millennium.

And then comes my way a countryside so serene.

I pull the leash hard on time and
Get down often
To feel the dew on grass barefoot.

As I walk by the river and look into,
I see ME as someone stranger

Nostalgic

As I walked on the pavement...View fog-laden,
I could see a glimpse of the future.

As the glass doors spread arms to hug,
I stumbled and fell to set the pride low
and found humility there below.

As the day marked the start of a journey
I remember it with each of its moments as
blessed, enriched, and glorious.

On the completion of 3 successful years in my Company.

A Matter of Few Minutes in Days in Millennium...

Short-lived as life,
the inert Wishes of frenzy mind...

The Chances in life,
as the fireflies enlivening the stage for a Wish to play...

The Faith on those flirty chances,
making the Plot twisted to length and endlessly stretched...

And You just realize...
You lived a Millennium which was a matter of few Minutes.
